Computer screen showing Horse Browser with new url shown in sidebar

Welcome to the Rider’s Digest blog, where we share behind-the-scenes updates on Horse and what it’s really like to build an indie browser from scratch.

The Power of SEO (and What We Learned)

One of the biggest lessons Pascal and I learned while building Horse is the power of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Most successful products thrive by leveraging SEO - many are even built directly around search demand, identifying gaps in the market for a specific niche or need.

A Quirky Name, An Unexpected Audience

When we first launched Horse, we honestly didn’t think much about SEO. We were just excited to introduce Trails to the world! Turns out, calling our browser “Horse” and using browser.horse wasn’t the smartest move - we spent months attracting the equestrian crowd! That experience made us rethink our approach, and we’ve been working on making Horse easier to find ever since.

Our New, More Search-Friendly Home

Now we’re switching to a more search-friendly domain: **gethorse.com.**

While we’ll miss our quirky browser.horse address, we’re excited to help more people discover Horse.

Same Horse, Same Trails

The site remains the same, with our support page and user manual articles to help you get the most out of your trusty steed.

Catch you on the Trail at gethorse.com,

Eleanor and Pascal
